Several months ago, while still in the filming phase of the Power to Create an attorney from Chicago approached me about taking this curriculum into the prisons of Illinois. He told me how this program could bring transformation to a system failing disastrously in rehabilitating its inmates.

His words lit me up like a Christmas tree! The vision of launching the Prison Outreach Project with this curriculum burned indelibly into my heart from that moment forward. As a college student, I led a jail outreach ministry for a couple of years. I knew then that some day, I would be involved in reaching prisoners in some way but wasn’t sure how and when. The time has come to give birth to this vision!

As this vision was swirling in my thoughts, the Lord starting bringing high profile people connected with prison ministries into my life. All of them expressed an intense desire to bring the Power to Create curriculum into their prison educational programs. I have been amazed at how quickly the seed is germinating. You see, I believe there is potential for every individual to be transformed by the power of God and become a significant contributor instead of a detriment to their communities.

We are working with ministries and prison wardens to provide the Power to Create curriculum to inmates who will be taking this life-changing journey.

You may ask, “how is the Power to Create curriculum going to help inmates?”

prison_ministryTheir journey through this transforming program will help them:

• Find their unique God-given, empowering purpose even while they are behind bars.
• Break free from the paralyzing lies of scarcity that led to destructive behavior.
• Shift their mindsets and motivations from being a taker to being a contributor.
• Learn new creative approaches to solving problems rather than reacting from old habits.
• Understand God is for them and wants to work intimately with them to create value that serves others    in productive ways.

The end result will be transformation in their thinking and behaviors.

Imagine what that will do for each prisoner and their families!

We are asking friends like you to sponsor a prisoner so they can enroll and journey through this life-changing program.
